It seems to be a love or hate thing~ ~cucumbers.
Do you love or hate them?
It's 2 to 1 in our home.
The lovers Win!
with my neighbor who gave me the cucumbers.
So the Cuisinart came out to play.
Then into the Cuisinart to slice
with a 2mm blade.
I cut each one in half so they
fit into the feed tube.
Here they go and Oh don't forget to slice an onion too.
So pretty!
Soak them in cold salted water for about 45 min.
Drain well, I squeeze the water out of them
and pat with paper towels.
How for the recipe for my dressing.
A few spoons of Hellmann's Mayo
(according to how many cukes you use)
a good quality vinegar to taste
cream to thin the sauce
sugar
salt and black pepper
Mix all with a whip.
Mix all with a whip.
the dressing.

This sounds really delicious, Ahrisha. We make a variation using sour cream. It is SO refreshing on a cool day. Thanks so much!

I love cucumbers in the summer. Thanks for the recipe:)
Personally, I'm not really a lover of cucumbers, but plenty of my family members are. This looks like a great dish to take to a church dinner. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Oh I love creamy cucumber salad, but have had it only a few times. I think I will start making myself, especially since cukes are abundant this time of the year~thanks for the recipe. I never thought of using my food processor to make it easier.
Creamed cucumber salad is a huge favorite in this house! Your recipe is a little different than mine, and I will try it your way...thanks.
I love cukes, how great that your neighbors shared, and you are returning the favor!
I love cucumber salad and the title of your post says it all!
Love them! And this looks wonderful!
I am not a cucumber fan but my son is. I make a variety of dishes for him. I will try this recipe the next time I get some cucumbers for him.
Thanks!

I just love a good, chilled cucumber salad....especially now while it has been so hot. I found your blog from other blogs that I follow and am now following you. Glad I found you. Next week, since you stated that you love living naturally, you might want to stop by my blog for my very first "Fresh, Clean and Pure Friday"s for posting anything on freshening our lives. You fit right in. Roz at La Bella Vita

It's both...I love them, they hate me.
I love cucumbers! Your salad looks so good, Arisha. I have never tried making it with mayonnaise. I only just use vinegar, sugar and spices....Christine

Growing up my momma used to fix something similar. It was just sliced cukes and onions with a little vinegar poured over then salted and peppered. My kids only eat cucumbers from a pickle jar! :) When I fix cucumber salad they think I'm trying to kill them!
Oh yes, I eat cucumbers, and this sounds sooo good. Thanks for sharing the recipe. laurie
Oh! WE love cucumbers and eat them nearly everyday in some form. Our garden is full of them. I make creamy cucumbers too but mine is a different recipe than yours. I will be trying yours too! Thanks and I appreciate your visit to 47th Street! ;)
