Pretty Little Table

Before
This little table was sitting on my neighbors porch for weeks.
I asked them if they had plans for it and they said they were trying to get rid of it
so...I offered
to take it off their hands!
After, pretty yes?
I am considering adding some darker highlights.
Any suggestions?
The room it lives in is our sunroom/office and the color scheme is sage green & pink.

This will be such a nice place for a little romantic dinner.
and craft projects!

See the buffet to the right, this is a painting project too. Got to get the cottage white paint out
again.

I have that same table but it is oblong. I have four chairs and the buffet also. I can see by the legs, and that little groove in the apron of the table that it is the same. The wood is Pecan. We bought it from our landlady who was moving into a larger house and was buying a new one. We even had the tea cart, but I gave that to our daughter. I was thinking of painting ours also and giving it our granddaughter who just moved into an apartment and doesn't have very much.

Got to run taking my Collie to the Vet. I'll check back later.

I love the curvy legs and it is looks grand in white. If you feel it needs something more and your room is in a sage green, why not wash just the legs in that color watered down some?

That looks fantastic what a transformation. I would like to highlight some of my painted furniture but I'm a bit scared in case I mess it up! LOL Thanks for popping by my blog and your kind comments :)

Hi Ahrisha -

Love your blog and I love that table. I love a good white makeover and I'd probably age it up a bit with a piece of coarse sandpaper right along all the edges.

Thanks for coming by today - I'm so happy to follow you.

How do all your neighbors have these great fixer uppers that they don't want. You are sooo lucky....
If it were me I would distress it a bit with a sanding block (find at any craft store) OR antique it with some paint thinned with glaze. ORRRR you could paint the bottom in Sage green all the while wiping a little bit off as you go...that would be gorgeous with the white showing through!

Very nice make over of a great table.
I have been viewing your older posts and fallen in love with your blog...lots of great posts so I'll be following you for sure. Your recipes ALMOST make me want to bake! tee hee I say that cuz, well, to keep it short,my view on the purpose of having a kitchen is A: it's fun to decorate it, B: it came with the house. Sad but true.
What an awesome life you must live...LANCASTER CO, PA. I sooo wish to see it! And your kitties are so precious. I could go on and on about your blog but will sign off for now. Oh, and thank you much for visiting my 1ST TT and your sweet comment. Hugs to you, Vicci

I LOVE your little table! What a great make-over too, and how nice to be able to use what other's no longer want! Another man's trash....

Very pretty! It's so nice to refurbish a piece and give it new life rather than run out and buy new. You've kept it out of the landfill and brightened your porch. Enjoy it!

Great little table, I love white furniture. I don't have allot in my house just in a couple of the bedrooms. I just think it makes a room feel so clean and relaxing.
