I was looking for a creative way to set up my picnic table.
Instead of a centerpiece I did an arrangement at one end of the table.
First I covered the table with a French Provencial cloth.
I placed the napkins in an old crock.
You can purchase great big colorful napkins at Ikea.
The silver in blue ball jars. . .
The glasses in my Pottery Barn carrier. . .
and the white dinner plates stacked all at one end of the table
under the old oak tree.
Everyone helped themselves from the bounty and found a place to sit under the wonderful oak tree.
The shaded coolness was appreciated by all.
Hope you are enjoying your holiday week.
TIP: A centerpiece doesn't have to be in the center of the table.
Think outside the box and have fun!

What a lovely wait to set up a buffet. I love the tablecloth and the colors of the jars. I'm sure it was a great success and everyone enjoyed sitting under the oak tree. Lovely!

Thanks for joining TTT!
What a fabulous centerpiece (or off-center piece)! Love the mason jars - one of my favorites! Colorful, fun and inviting.

Hi! This is my first time visiting your blog via Tablescape Thursday. You set up a beautiful picnic setting! The jars really make it more portable as well as pretty! I really like the tablecloth pattern, too. Very pretty!!!
Love all the colors! It looks fabulous.

Such a pretty picnic table! I like setting things up to the side too! Beautiful!
It looks fantastic, Ahrisha! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! I only wish I could give you some tips on my New Dawn roses, but any growing they're doing has been on their own as I don't fertilize, prune, water, nothing! And believe me, I'm sure my own will NEVER look like the ones I posted climbing the trellises down on Cape Cod! They were amazing!! Have a great week!...Donna
I couldn't agree more. Actually, some of my most favorite centerpieces aren't in the center at all!

This looks just beautiful! Love the old jars and the great colors!
Very nice post! I am hosting a wedding shower soon and I can use some of these ideas! I am your newest follower!
So pretty and refreshing! I love all things French, so was especially enamoured with the table cloth and then the way things were displayed. Hey - centerpieces don't have to be in the center? Great point! I wish I had been at your picnic for the 4th. I can see that is was lovely. (Thanks, also, for the tip to get those great napkins at Ikea!)
Hello! I love how you made centerpiece to the side. Aren't those ball jars just the best? I put mine in a metal canning contraption and put my utensils and napkins in them. Your table is gorgeous! I am your newest follower. So glad that you stopped by for a visit.

Your table looks fantastic! I have a blue crock just like that but never thought about using it for napkins. What a great idea. I love that basket as well, and always like French provincial fabric. Very nice!
