She's Gone . . .

I have some sad news. Our Dear little Caramel is gone. . .over the Rainbow Bridge. She was hit by a car last week. She died immediately. Small Blessing. The incident was witnessed by a neighbor who stopped to assist. The woman who hit her was devistated are we.

She was born here and was with us for 7 short months. I cannot believe she is gone. She had the sweetest spirit and will be missed for as long as I live.

Her brother Licorice misses her so much. They were a tag team and were always together. He seems quiet and a little lost.

In the bag together. . .playing.

I am so grateful to have Licorice.

We know that we take a chance by letting them be inside and outside kittens. They were born outside and are not happy being inside all the time. They slept on the bed at night. . .together but now there is only one. She is so missed.

Thanks for listening. I thought you would like to know.

Broken hearted for you sweet friend. I'm so sorry! I've experienced this loss and the only thing I've ever found to help is rescuing a shelter animal from a similar, terrible fate.

Blessings to you as you heal.

Love, Rebecca

I'm so sorry for this news. Please get Licorice a little friend. When they have been raised with another cat it is so stressful for them to be alone. It would be the best thing you could do. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4

Ahrisha, I am always happy to see one of your posts, but this made me feel so sad. At least it was quick. Poor thing. She is playing at Rainbow Bridge. Maybe you will find a new little kitten for Licorice. ((hugs)) xo

Wow I am so sorry for your loss of Carmel! As a pet lover and someone who shares her home with pets I know how hard this must be for you. I’m truly sorry!

Thank you for your kind comment on my blog and that hydrangea border you’re interested in is made up of Annabelle “Incrediball” hydrangea, who makes up these names, and dwarf fountain grass. Both stay on the shorter side and the hydrangea doesn’t flop over. Good luck with your gardening!

I am so sorry. I become very attached to any pets. Right now I don't have any but do have a lovely garden. They are truly man's best friend.

My heart breaks for you. It really does. We live in the hills and our cats always fall pray to the coyotes. Even though we keep them inside, the are sneaky and want to explore because we always take in the strays. I still miss every cat we ever had and can't put us through it anymore. But the joy they bring is incredible, and they do it so effortlessly. I do believe animals grieve just like we do. God bless you and Licorice and take consolation Caramel did not suffer.
