Diningroom Vignettes

~ ~ Hello Friends~ ~
Thanks for stopping in today.
I'm sharing a few little vignettes from the diningroom.
The first one is on the buffet.
I love to decorate the top of the china cabinet with
my antique piano shawl. I drape it over the corner to soften it.
The colors don't match anything in my house
but I adore it so it's staying.
I have had it for so long I don't
remember where I got it.

A few sweet stacks of dishes on lace trimmed shelves.

Shells I picked up on the beach in Delaware.

This is an odd grouping.
The delicate fine china salt and pepper
with a few jars of my canned red beets.
The beets were so pretty I didn't
want to hide them in a cabinet
so I put them on display.

A crystal bowl filled with dried red rose petals
and pink sequined hearts!

Why hide the liquor bottles when they are so pretty?
I love to add unusual items to my vignettes,
don't you?

Another shot of the top of the china.
A good look at my french chicken border too.

Pretty keys on a red ribbon.
I'm joining in the fun this week with
Artie @ Color Outside The Lines
and
Cindy @ My Romantic Home
Thanks so much friends for hosting these party's.

I could spend some time looking inside your china cabinet..it is so pretty. It is always one of the first things I notice in a home. I think they tell a lot about the person and I just love them. A white china cabinet always catches my eye. I like the liquor bottle in the cabinet..great idea. Deb =^..^=x5

Sending a sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm! Thank you so very much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. Yes, Cape May is just wonderful - you will love it. Try eating at 410 Bank Street - very eclectic and always delicious! Your vignettes are just lovely - it must be so wonderful to see beautiful things where ever you look in your home. As far as the jarred beets, I agree with you totally - they are too beautiful to leave hidden in a cabinet! Ciao, bella!

Ahrisha,
This is beautiful. I love the use of the piano shawl. Very pretty vignettes. I like your use of red and white too. On your question about my dishes in the "Bittersweet & Brooksticks" post, I think they are older. Maybe 1960's until 1990's. The pattern is Johnson's Brothers Coaching Scenes. Thanks for stopping by.
