Decisions, Decisions? ?

Greetings Friends~ ~ ~
I love this sweet and lacy little Beret.
I have been looking for a little Beret to knit for this winter. I wear lots of hats and have knit many but I wanted a lacy little hat. How do you like this one? The pattern is free on the web at Sweet Georgia's blog. If you would like the patters stop over and have a look. She is a superb knitter and also dyes her own yarns to sell and they are luscious.

I got out a few of my stash boxes looking for the perfect yarn for the hat.
I bought the Nature Spun for a hat & scarf. Could this be it?
The next two yarns are mohair from a little farm in the North East. I bought these for socks and I think they are too thin.

The cream yarn is Alpaca from Pennsylvania Alpacas and everyone knows Lamb's Pride. I believe both of these are to thick for this pattern.
Only swatching will tell.

I love these colors golds & reds & browns but this is also sock yarn. Too thin?
Oh Joy! As I was rooting around in the boxes I found some yarn I forgot I had and enough for a sweater too. Yippee! Lamb's Pride bulky in blue.
The other ball is also a bulky, Prism by Colinette Yarns. Beautiful stuff. Time to start swatching. Why do I always do this? Haven't I got enough projects started? Because I want a hat and it's getting chilly outside.

The Metamorphosis from yarn to hat begins. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to comment and say Hello.
Stop by at Susan's Met Monday Post and see links to everyone who is playing along this week. It's always a fun event.

You are ambitious!! I think your going to have a great cap no matter what you use. It's even better since you can make it yourself. :)

Have a great day!

I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

Sweet Holiday wishes,
Sara

Ahrisha, that hat is adorable. I'm in awe of people who can crochet or knit, following a pattern. I'm sure your hat will be beautiful.

Thank you so much for your kind words on my recent post about Spotty. They meant so very much.

All my best,
Donna

You know - I bought a cap like this ... called it a slouch cap, though I don't know what they're actually called. Anyway - I wore it once, and now it's no where to be found. Really upsetting. Scott made fun of me all the while I wore it ... but I think they're cute. Didn't he watch Project Runway???? Men wear them too! LOL!!!
